Neptune- Seeing Eye puppy #1 (now a guide)

Neptune was the first puppy I raised for The Seeing Eye. I received him in July, 2010 and he returned to The Seeing Eye facility in December, 2011 for further guide dog training and testing. Neptune was the first dog I have raised since puppy-hood and was and will always remain one of the most amazing dogs to have touched my heart. He was a very soft dog so in tune to human behavior and emotions. He accompanied me almost every-where for the year and a half he lived with me. He was a low energy male black Labrador Retriever with great drive and focus. He became well known in town and especially in my high school by students and staff members. He has made me extremely proud and taught me many things about dog behavior. He will forever be my best boy.
**update! Neptune has been assigned a blind master and is a current working guide in Texas with his new handler and family. Good boy Nep, you make me proud every day. I love
