About Me

   Hi there, I'm Sarah! I have grown up surrounded by dogs my entire life because my mom is a professional dog groomer. She has mostly owned Shih Tzu's but around five years ago we heard about a local Standard Poodle that was in need of a home. Within days, Willow was a part of our family. I was in middle school at the time we adopted Willow and I was thrilled by her eagerness to learn. Willow has become the first dog that looked to me as her master. I also have another female Standard Poodle named Lacey who is just a young pup. Between both my Poodles, I enjoy training and competing in agility, conformation and rally.
    My other passion is being an active puppy raiser for The Seeing Eye. My role as a puppy raiser is to provide a puppy with household manners, obedience skills, and exposure to public places during the first year and a half of life. My first puppy Neptune has made his Miracle Match and is now living with him and his family in Texas. My second, Archie, has already been vested, signifying that she has passed the first official test on the path to becoming a successful guide.
       Along with all of my dog sports and activities, I am a senior at a public high school while working with my mom in our dog grooming shop, Fulton's Professional Dog Grooming. Proceeding high school graduation, I hope to pursue a degree in small business management in community college. In doing so, I will have the availability to work full time in the grooming shop with my mom. On the weekends, I hope to work towards showing dogs professionally as I maintain involvement in conformation and agility with my Standard Poodles.
